He’s not Done With You Yet (Isaiah 64)

Isaiah 64:7 Yet, O Lord, you are our father; we are the clay and you the potter: we are the work of your hands.

Like in Isaiah 45, we have another reference to God molding us. We are the work of his hands. We have no right to question the mold he has made us from. Or question the place in life he has put us. He is continually working and molding us. He did not make a mistake when he made us in our mother’s wombs. He is the perfect potter. You may not always feel like you fit in or belong, and technically none of us followers of God fit in on earth.

Instead of trying to push ourselves into a different mold because we don’t like where we are or we don’t like the way our mold is shaped, we should trust in the Lord. He knows our perfect path. He knows what his plan is for us. Just like rushing a cake out of the oven, and it ends up flat, we can end up flat trying to rush into a new plan because we are are impatient or tired of what we see.

Trust in God’s plan. Trust that he made you exactly how you are supposed to be. Trust that he has much bigger ideas for you that you could ever imagine. He’s not done with you yet.
