Are You a Light? (2 Chronicles 27)

2 Chronicles 27:6 Thus Jotham continued to grow strong because he made sure to walk before the LORD, his God.

Not much is said about Jotham in the Bible, expect that he reigned for 16 years, and followed the Lord even though the people continued to act corruptly (2 Chr. 27:2). It can be tough to walk the straight path when everyone around us is taking the corrupt route. Jotham continued to do what was right, however. He didn’t let others pull him away from God’s word. We need to be like Jotham and put straight our lives so that we are seeking God first. Young people are in search of mentors and need to see someone who is trying to doing things right, regardless of what’s down spiraling next to them. We need to let God’s light shine brighter today and tomorrow than ever before. The ones who need God the most are drowning in the sea of change and wokeness being thrown at them. They need a light to get to God. Are you living your life correctly, according to God’s word? Without adding new words or ideas just to please mankind? Are you upholding the Bible and what God taught us through Jesus? Can you be that light?
