Trust in Him (2 Chronicles 32)

2 Chronicles 32:20 But because of this, King Hezekiah and Isaiah the prophet, son of Amoz, prayed and cried out to heaven.

We have read several times throughout both books of Chronicles about the ups and downs for the people of Israel and Judah. About the waxing and waning of their faith, and thus the increasing and decreasing of God’s protection over them. Here again, we see Hezekiah praying to the Lord for protection as the enemy comes up at the people, and the Lord provides it.

The enemy will never completely go away until the world ends. There will always be someone or something to come up against God. The stronger our beliefs, the strong that evil will seem to be pursuing us. The stronger our connection, the more the devil will try to break it. So even if we have been following God closely, there will still be things that come up to try and shake our faith. We must remain strong, we must not have doubts that God is there. He is, with his angel army, ready to help us, just as he did Hezekiah.

Even in these times now, as laws come into question, “rights” are sought, morals are broken, God is there ready for us.  Christians need to be united in our faith, united against the dark one, ready to show the world God’s love.
